AI Academy, a new program from Google for Startups, was unveiled on Monday. It will support the great initiative to boost, and increase the growth of AI startups in Pakistan and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. More than 20 startups will work on AI technologies as part of the initiative, which also aims to foster a vibrant AI community within APAC and encourage cross-border innovation and partnerships.
The program’s collaborative atmosphere will promote the sharing knowledge, skills, and resources. It will also speed up the creation of cutting-edge AI solutions and position APAC as a hub for global AI developments. Selected firms will get specialized mentoring and one-on-one access to Google’s AI specialists for advice and guidance.
This initiative provides Google Cloud credits with a budget of up to $350,000 to encourage AI research and development. It also offers chances for community development and cooperation with other AI firms in the APAC area.
By helping companies create a “proof of concept” and a product roadmap, AI Academy seeks to speed up entrepreneurs’ time to market by enabling them to quickly verify and enhance their AI solutions. Startups can accelerate their path to success by adopting their AI discoveries more quickly into their current products using Google Cloud technologies on their data.
Farhan S. Qureshi, Google’s national director in Pakistan, has highlighted the significance of this project. He adds, “Our AI Academy program demonstrates Google’s commitment to fostering AI growth across the Asia-Pacific.” Given Pakistan’s market significance, we believe that local startups would take advantage of this chance to improve their AI products and boost the AI ecosystem in APAC. The application process for this great initiative continues, but it will end on August 16, 2024.
